About Me

Down through the years, I have always taken great pleasure in being able to create something that I have visualized, be it a photograph, a table or a design for a garden. Having used my hands for most of my working life — taking photographs or hauling sails, or making the more delicate marks with a soft pencil on the paper of a navigation chart — it’s what has, quite literally at times, floated my boat!

The numerous years I already had in boating experience came back to inspire and aid me when I made my first table and later on when I started to use epoxy resin with the different types of wood. I began by making wooden pallet tables and repairing existing tables that had been damaged by the elements. Fully renovated, they now have a loving new lease of life.

It’s uplifting to be able to see the potential in something that has been discarded or neglected     and it’s inspiring to see the project come to life. My main focus is to upcycle and recycle from all types of wood and turn them into   something beautiful and usable.

I personally believe we all need to be more aware of the delicate world around us and continue to recycle as much as possible. We     need to seriously reduce the waste we accumulate and the impact we have on the planet. If we can all do our part, then there will be   a more positive future for all of us and the generations to come. Be kind, in general, to each other and, more importantly, to other   living beings, whether animal or vegetable.

When I started making the more recent tables, I incorporated the existing art of using epoxy resin with the wood. This technique has   opened a new and wonderful, inspiring door for me. Not only am I able to upcycle all shapes and sizes and types of wood as an art   form, I can also work with clients who request bespoke pieces, from serving boards to shelves of different dimensions and table     designs. These are exciting times!

If you want to get in contact about anything you see on my site, please use the link below and give me as much detail as possible   about what it is you’re looking for. Mine may be a small set-up, but I am prepared for bigger things!
